Abstract
In developing The Yokohama System(TYS) for reporting endometrial cytology, current understanding of initial/precursor lesions, which sequentially take place in the process of carcinogenesis of endometrial cancer, is of enormous importance. In this regard, the chapter on endometrial carcinoma in the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumors of the uterine corpus offers timely and valuable insights [1] (Table 3.1).
