International Cooperation and Development

Brazil-India Renewable Energy Cooperation

Abstract

In this chapter, International Cooperation and Development, two theoretical strands are presented highlighting the interdependence of the countries, whose connections with one another go beyond geographical boundaries. In its first section, it shows the understanding of international cooperation in the globalized sphere as something that cannot be analyzed within a static framework model since it reflects the adaptation the environment goes through over time. The two other sections of this chapter present the cooperation in the South arena and the contextualization of the convergence of Brazil and India in the road to energy cooperation. Collaboration can be more than a tool to overcome these challenges: it becomes a strategic element for developing countries, like Brazil and India.
