Abstract
Considering the global complex scenario well as the respective energy profiles of Brazil and India, it is important to reflect on the ways in which these countries appropriate energy resources to generate their economic and social development processes. It is also crucial to know the reality of both countries and where they stand regarding the energy issue. For India and Brazil, intensifying the dialogue is more than a strategy of visibility and the search for greater space in worldwide geopolitics. In spite of the dialogue efforts in the energy field, particularly those made from the beginning of the new millennium, the cooperation in renewable energy between Brazil and India is incipient. In this context, it is relevant to analyze the process of cooperation between these countries in the field of renewable energy in order to identify limitations and opportunities and to propose actions which could be useful for its intensification.
