Abstract
Several treatment options exist for Dupuytren contracture. These procedures range from an aggressive complete fasciectomy to the minimally invasive needle fasciotomy. The complete fasciectomy has fairly consistently low recurrence rates compared to other procedures, however, it does have a higher complication rate. The needle fasciotomy procedure is a minimally invasive treatment ideal for early-stage Dupuytren contracture, however, there is a higher recurrence rate associated with this procedure than other surgical interventions. The segmental or limited fasciectomy provides a minimally invasive treatment option with a lower recurrence rate compared to that of fasciotomy with low morbidity. The Endoscopic segmental fasciectomy is a minimally invasive option that further minimizes trauma and provides better visualization when utilizing a smaller incision.
