Key Tasks in Promoting China’s SP Industry Development

Abstract

In the 12th and 13th five-year plans related to SP, policy support for SP industry development was gradually heightened and key tasks emerged clearly. Through implementing the Science Popularization Boosting Project, a plan has been made for the development of the SP industry. In the light of urgent issues to be addressed and state policies for SP industry development, key tasks in promoting the development of the SP industry include formulating macro-policies for industry development and establishing and improving the industry’s standards system; building SP product R&D centres to enhance the innovation capacity of the industry; supporting backbone SP enterprises and cultivating entities of SP industry development; promoting and accelerating the construction of SP industry parks and demonstration bases; supporting the development of emerging SP formats and boosting the influence and driving power of the industry; implementing major SP projects to drive the development of the industry; promoting the establishment of a market system for the SP industry; implement the SP talent construction project.
