Abstract

With the Internet of things which is going to be happen in near future, the several of the functionality that currently being done by large computer systems are also going to become a requirement for embedded platforms. As we all know that nowadays, Internet is also being used for multimedia streaming. As such, the streaming of multimedia data is also envisaged to be a requirement for embedded platform. In our project, we have taken an embedded platform which is very cost effective and having an ARM processor and has got ARM A profile. With this platform, we are implementing an application using SCTP which we are attempting to transmit multimedia data both video and audio from an embedded platform, and we are comparing the performance of SCTP and TCP.
