Abstract

Traveling has become easy, but it comes with the risk of accidents. Emergency medical service (EMS) could be lifesaving in dire situations like accidents on the road. A well-organized system that can provide medical assistance is much needed. This research work aims at the development of a robust accident detection and notification system (ADNS) where data collected from the accident site are communicated to the EMS provider. A hardware system consisting of the accident detection algorithm and the notification system consisting of mobile and web applications makes the ADNS. The mobile application for the accident detection system (ADS) is used to collect the data of the passengers, whereas the web application serves the purpose of alerting the EMS provider with the details of the accident. Firebase cloud server is used for the database and storage to give the real-time experience.
