Abstract
The POCT belongs to the segmentation of the IVD industry and is one of the fastest-growing segments of the IVD industry in recent years. With the continuous advancement of biotechnology, there are two trends in medical devices: one is much more “high, precise, integrated,” the other is “simple, convenient, personal health management.” The POCT products that are compact in size, simple in operation, and timely in results are produced under such a background and have been rapidly developed. POCT is characterized by rapid (time of output), convenience (no or very little sample pre-processing, simple operation), and the diagnosis time is extremely critical when acute diseases such as myocardial infarction occur; in epidemics breaking, such as inflammatory infections occur, Screening efficiency is critical; the simplicity is critical when it comes to chronic disease management such as blood glucose monitoring. In terms of IVD classification, POCT is a unique existence, which is not divided according to the sample type or the methodology, but is proposed according to the application scenario [1]. Therefore, POCT is a development direction for all in vitro diagnostic equipment.
