Occupational health and safety should be vital aspects for the well-being and welfare of any industrial worker. The key aim of this study was to find out the prevailing situation of health and safety practices of workers engaged in sports goods manufacturing. This qualitative study was based on personal observations and the use of close end questionnaire. Two small-scale sports goods manufacturing industries of Jammu and Kashmir state were selected for this study. Sample size included all the male workers engaged in these two industries. Results revealed that safety practices were not followed as required. Around 78% of workforce had no awareness about occupational health and safety. Mouth mask was the only personal protective equipment used by the workers, but these masks were not as per the standards. The most frequent problem found among the workforce was cough (81.5%).
