Abstract

Where do theories of language come from? They are summarized from language facts. Yes, they are. Nevertheless, why the same language fact can produce so many different theories? This is because people interpreting them have different viewpoints and perspectives. For instance, tagmemics compares language to the physical movement of the matter, and valence grammar compares languageā€™s inner structure to the combination of the atoms inside the matter, which are nothing but the viewpoints and perspectives of cosmic structure on the linguistic one. In this chapter, I aim to seek the outer rootstock of these theories of language, and the relevant endeavors would surely reach this conclusion: whether or not the presenters of the original theories are aware of this, these theories can all find their interpretative rootstock outside themselves: language structure is isomorphic and similar to, corresponds to, and is embedded in the cosmic one, namely, they are holographic with one another. All these can be seen as the state of the outer language holography.
