Stem Cells and Recent Advances in Aesthetic and Regenerative Gynecology

Abstract

Women have suffered many illnesses that ail her in silence. Cosmetic gynecology and the use of stem cells have opened a whole new option for a woman to provide her with the confidence to go about her life.

Regenerative medicine is a field that addresses women’s functional and anatomical changes to the pelvic floor as a result of childbirth, aging, and other factors. Many of these women complain of changes in sexual function and genital esthetic appearance. Esthetic Medicine treatments help in treating the women and their discomfort to regain their confidence. The field is lacking in providing studies or long-term evidence to some of the procedures that are mentioned here.

The esthetic medicine discipline grew spontaneously over decades and is relatively young compared to conventional medicine. It is by and largely self-regulated.
