Abstract
The body position for patients undergoing robotic surgery varies with the surgical plan and the type of surgical approach to be adopted. For upper abdominal surgery, the patient should be placed in a dorsal elevated position. For lower abdominal or pelvic surgery, the patient should be placed in a Trendelenburg position. The different types of body positions are adopted to mainly expand the surgical space as far as possible, expose the surgical area and facilitate smooth operation.
