Abstract

Various adoption and adaption approaches that can benefit innovation in developing countries with limited resources are discussed, especially in the context of Africa, where social innovation presently dominate. They focus on improving existing technologies and on areas of competitive advantage to deliver quality products and services at affordable cost. Aspects of frugal, leapfrogging and open innovations are discussed.
