Abstract
The concept of an “Innovation Development and Entrepreneurship Africa (IDEA) University or Academy” is presented as one way to address some of the human resource development gaps, that prioritizes and adresses societal challenges. Such program should provide short-term and vocational training programs for individuals and businesses from both formal and informal sectors as well as higher-degree programs.
