Abstract

In this work, comparative analysis between boost converter and tri-state boost converter is presented. The work started from the modeling of boost converter followed by modeling of the tri-state boost converter. The performance of both the converters is discussed properly, and then after the power losses are investigated for both the converters. Further, the simulation is carried out through the MATLAB software and the loss matrix is presented. The comparative analysis is also explored which highlights the advantages as well as tradeoff of both the converters.
