Abstract/Introduction

The subject of OMF surgery is a specialized branch of dental surgery that deals with identification of diseases of OMF region. This is an important subject not only for a student following dental surgery but also for students in other medical specialties as well.

The patients presented in this collection are representative of those seen in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department of Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. However, in such a clinic, a wide range of patients are seen, and so a number of clinical conditions are selected and included which are involving the facial skin, oral mucosa, and lips. These colour photographs can be classified under the heading of “Oral and Maxillofacial Region” or OMF region.
