Abstract
As kinds of renewable resources, industrial oil plants have been widely exploited for industrial applications. With the increasing development of the processing of the industrial oil plants, a large amount of the processed residues accounted for 70% of industrial oil plants were produced. It is critical to promote the economic sustainability of the industrial oil plant industry by improving the utilization value of the resources of the processed residues. In this chapter, we firstly introduced the different functions of the processed residues. Then, the advances of comprehensive utilization of processed residues from industrial oil plants were summarized. Furthermore, the prospects and the challenges of the utilization of the processed residues from industrial oil plants were discussed.
