Careers for Students with Special Educational Needs

Abstract

The world in which we are living is considered at high risk because of social, economic, and environmental crises that are much more worrying and pervasive than those of the past century, such as natural disasters, ecological uncertainty, public health crises, extreme social inequity, and rising violence. In connection therewith, career guidance activity should support people to think about their future and to achieve by 2030, of at least some of the 17 goals that the UN has proposed to the world in the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. On the basis of these premises, the chapter reflects on a series of elements and resources that can affect career planning and presents examples of career intervention activities in an inclusive perspective to promote these constructs in youth with and without disabilities and vulnerabilities.
