Flipped Classrooms with Diverse Learners

Part of the book series: Springer Texts in Education ((SPTE))

Abstract

In 2007, Jonathan Bergmann and Aaron Sams, two secondary school chemistry teachers from Colorado, USA, began video recording their lectures and sharing those videos with students before the students came to class. “Flipping the classroom” has now grown in popularity in both K–12 and university settings across the world. This book is intended to provide examples from around the world as authors share original research and synthesize others’ research to explain the impact flipping the classroom has had across a wide variety of educational settings and audiences.
