Pharmacology in Clinical Neurosciences

Abstract

Reversal agents are defined as any drug or agents that are used to reverse the effects of commonly used agents in practice like anesthetics, narcotics, or other pharmacological agents. While reversal is a common practice for reversal of anesthesia, these are used to a fair extent at bedside to reverse toxic effects of certain therapeutic agents. Reversal agents can be either receptor-specific (antagonist) or nonspecific agents.
