Abstract

The development of wireless and computerized systems has technologically advanced the antenna design where the end-device relay signals with electromagnetic access are associated with a foremost network server in the backend. The communication amid end devices and gateway is characteristically wireless communication within RF or microwave band frequencies. In this study, an antenna size (31 mm × 31 mm) using FR-4 substrate to work under microwave wireless application is presented. Microstrip patch antenna with smallness features and quasi-fractal shape is used based on dual via ports excitation. The simulations are performed by means of Applied Wave Research (AWR) simulator that is adapted for numerous fields of electromagnetic applications. The planned antenna exhibits multiband response at 2.45, 4.71, 7.14, 8.12, and 9.62 GHz with highly compact size (0.376 \(\uplambda _{g}\) × 0.376 \(\uplambda _{g}\)) at its principal frequency band that can be incorporated within any system or devices with sufficient performances. All band frequencies are within applicable strategic uses based on WLAN, C and X bands.
