Abstract
The operation of marine nuclear power plant is similar to that of NPPs [1], mainly including initial start-up, normal cold start-up, hot start-up, steady-power operation, variable condition operation, abnormal operating condition, accident operating condition, hot shutdown and cold shutdown. However, unlike the NPPs, the marine nuclear power plants have to frequently change their operating conditions to meet relevant mission requirements. Therefore, during the reactor design, the calculation and analysis shall be performed for a large number of operating conditions, and the results shall be used as an important basis for the formulation of operating procedures.
