On Materials of the Sociological Research of Youth Social Activity in the City of Tyumen

Abstract

In the article, the youth is seen as a resource for the formation and development of the urban society. The youth’s inclusion in the urban governance, the young people’s social activity development and their participation in the society’s life are the key features of the society development. The urgency of the problem is caused by the out risk assessment approach and passivity of young people. According to the authors of the article, the reason for youths’ passivity is a consequence of the lack of professional coordination system with youth society, the imperfection of the work system with young people. The purpose of the city management is to increase the activity of new generation and to develop youth and urban community. For this reason, it is necessary to study the needs and interests of young people, to provide feedback, to define their problems. On the example of the city of Tyumen the youth social activity, its direction and the degree of youth’s inclusion in the city management development are analyzed. During the study young people’s motivation to activity and readiness for participation in the city life are presented and interpreted. The results received during the research have confirmed the relevance of the subject. The need for social activity among young people is high, and every year is increasing. Creating conditions for youth participation will improve the quality of the city community.
