Abstract
Structural heart disease refers to any disease that is related to the abnormal structure of the heart or large vessels and its treatment concept including correcting or changing the structure of the heart. The common types include: (1) congenital heart disease (ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, etc.), (2) valvular disease (mitral valve, tricuspid valve, aortic valve, and pulmonary valve disease), (3) cardiomyopathy (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, etc.), (4) abnormal heart structures associated with other diseases (ventricular septal perforation after myocardial infarction or aneurysm).
