Abstract
Multicarrier (MC) strategies are the very appealing candidate for the modern wireless frameworks. Currently, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the most well known and profoundly broadband strategies for cognitive radio and the next generation of wireless applications. In spite of their various favorable circumstances, OFDM system experiences multicarrier interferences due to the noticeable energy of its side lope. Filter bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is the potential framework which helps to minimize the developed energy and multicarrier interferences of the OFDM system without compromising the significant of subcarriers. In this paper, we investigate the spectral response of FBMC framework and compare its spectral efficiency with the spectral efficiency of the OFDM system. Additionally, time and frequency responses at different stages of the FBMC framework and bit error rate curve for both the frameworks are also highlighted.
