Abstract
This article studies the performance and analysis of the single square loop FSS transmission mechanism with the help of the simulation software and also from the equivalent circuit model (ECM). As the structure of single square FSS basically consist, layer of FR4 dielectric substrate over which a design of single square loop which made up of the perfect electric conducting material which is represented in ECM as band-pass and band-reject circuits. This design of FSS was obtained by performing the parametric simulation which gives the most optimized result. On the other hand, a simple equivalent model has been proposed the simple and reliable equation close to provide the understanding of the transmission mechanism. In this analysis, each and every parameter of the design under the parametric tuning on the structure of the FSS and observe the effect in the resonance and bandwidth. On performing the parametric simulation for the optimized resultant transmission coefficient S21, it also provides the inductance (L) and capacitance (C) relation with the frequency. Finally, we compare both the results from the HFSS software simulation method and the equivalent circuit model analysis.
