Abstract
As described in [1], in this study solution to smart lighting and security has been mentioned using Arduino Uno Microprocessor, Wi-Fi module and passive infrared (PIR) sensors. PIR is used to sense the movement of a person but there are many problems with PIR sensors. Owing to increase in requirement of energy in both industry sector and residential sector, we need some smart solution to save electricity. According to International Energy Agency (IEA) report, energy use is increasing day by day. So, we need some perfect solution without any problems for smart lighting. In this paper problems with PIR in smart lighting system have been described and solution to the described problems was given.
