Abstract

The pattern of the industrialization of townships in China generally followed an endogenous model of urban development, which was shaped during the implementation of the strategy of small quasi-city town development and the actual process of township enterprise development in rural areas. In terms of dynamic mechanism, the industrialization model of townships was shaped from the bottom-up by the joint promotion of rural economic forces for industrialization and the influence of local government. However, in terms of space, the industrialization model of townships was mainly applied in rural areas.
