Abstract

Despite its enormous and multivalent subject matter, planning is the best word for describing how to achieve an objective with systematic ideas and actions. Planning is considered strategic and necessary because it enables us to set up, construct, establish, develop, and maintain our objective. In the context of the man-made world, the subject matter of planning is focused on spatial and physical planning for urbanism. This planning concerns with a system of methods, tools, and procedures of development in the context of community planning. This chapter explores the aspects of community planning for the safe, healthy, livable, and attractive environment for urbanism. To what extent is the contribution of planning for urban development in alignment with urbanism?
