Abstract
Since the Japanese government announced it would purchase the Diaoyu Islands on September 10, 2012, it has obviously stepped up its propaganda on the Diaoyu Islands issue. A systematic reflection of the Japanese government’s views on these islands can be found in the question–answer section in 11 languages (simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese, English, French, German, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) on the Web sites of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese embassy in China.
