Abstract
This chapter presents the different representations of both the integrated and differential forms of fundamental equation of thermodynamics. While the integrated fundamental equation of thermodynamics of a system relates the basic thermodynamic variables of equilibrium states of the system, the corresponding differential forms of the fundamental equation allows one to identify the natural variables of a thermodynamic energy function or of entropy and derive the equations of states from the integrated fundamental equation of thermodynamics.
