Abstract

This, introductory paper for Knowledge Socialism. The Rise of Peer Production: Collegiality, Collaboration, and Collective Intelligence, provides a brief overview of the concepts of knowledge economy and knowledge capitalism. It introduces the history and genealogy of the concept of knowledge socialism and explores its relationships to similar concepts such as knowledge cultures and radical openness. Finally, it offers some initial ideas about knowledge socialism in 2020 and provides a brief overview of Knowledge Socialism. The Rise of Peer Production: Collegiality, Collaboration, and Collective Intelligence.
