Abstract
Tablets and couplets are characteristic architectural ornaments in Chinese traditional architecture and the embodiment of national spirit and culture in architecture. There are couplets in temples, gardens, houses, especially popular in the dwelling houses of famous ancient writers or scholars. This tradition has been introduced into Tulou in the mountainous areas when Han nationality moved toward the south, and has become another landscaping character of Fujian tulou.
