Abstract
Similar to all other cultural features in general, funeral rites in modern Korea have been rapidly evolving, impacted by a number of socio-economic factors. This book is an attempt to sketch the changes to funeral rites in progress rather than some already-settled cultural features. A rapid development of the digital media and advertising, a notable environmental concern and an increase in the longevity of human life make some of the influential factors.
