Abstract

The principle of special people’s history taking is the same as that of general action. Because of the different physiological and pathological conditions of these people, there are also some differences in history taking. In this chapter, we will focus on how to conduct history taking for those special people, including: Silence and sadness, Anxiety and depression, Talkative patients, Anger and hostility, Patients with multiple coexisting symptoms, Patients are fearful of some diagnoses and associated invasive examinations, Patients with low level of education or speech impairment, Critical and end-stage patients, Disabled patients, Elderly patients, Children, Patients with psychological disorders.
