Abstract

Ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery combines the precision of ophthalmic microsurgery with plastic and reconstructive surgical principles. Basic instruments that form the essential framework of an ophthalmic plastic trolley are discussed in this chapter. Instruments used for oculoplastic surgery are relatively larger and sturdier than instruments for intraocular surgeries but are generally smaller and more delicate than instruments for general plastic surgeries.
