Abstract

This chapter introduces game theory in a non-mathematical fashion, although some simple math is used, and disability-related issues are used as examples. The main purpose of this chapter is to explain the concept of game theory, especially for readers who are not familiar with it.

    The purpose of equilibrium selection is not necessarily to select a single outcome no matter what the history may be. Rather, its purpose is to shed light on the mechanism by which an equilibrium is selected.
