Abstract

Since the past several decades, the earth’s environment and ecosystems have undergone severe damage and degradation due to anthropogenic activities including, but not restricted to industrialization, agriculture, transport, urbanization, mining, and uncontrolled pollution of air and water resulting from the use of fossil fuels. The increase in human population and the ever-increasing use of energy and resources per person has taken a toll on the overall health of our planet.
