Arsenic Pollution Control in Nonferrous Metallurgy

Abstract

Arsenic has long been a problem associated with the extraction of nonferrous metals. Arsenic-containing minerals that occur in base metal ores and concentrates enter metallurgical processing systems. Arsenic volatilizes more in blast furnace and fuming furnace than that in bottom blowing furnace. Arsenic in final materials and dust could enter to the environment and probably pose potential risk to the environment.
