Abstract
This book focuses on parallel application scheduling problems on heterogeneous distributed systems. In this book, the parallel application model is represented by a DAG. We take two heterogeneous distributed systems, namely, heterogeneous distributed embedded systems and heterogeneous distributed cloud systems, as examples. We also study the advanced heterogeneous distributed systems, namely, CPS. We take two typical scenarios of CPS, namely, ACPS and CPCS, as examples. This book covers energy-efficient real-time scheduling, reliability-aware fault-tolerant scheduling, and high-performance real-time scheduling according to the scheduling theme. This book covers the single parallel application scheduling and multiple parallel applications scheduling according to the scheduling scale. This book covers the static scheduling and dynamic scheduling according to the applications’ released rules. The summary of each chapter is below.
