Abstract

In order to further find replacement reserves, the exploration and evaluation of subtle reservoirs under complex geological conditions have gradually become the main targets of oil and gas exploration. Development of identification and evaluation technology of subtle reservoirs is briefly summarized based on a large number of reference and data in this chapter. A set of advanced and practical subtle reservoirs exploration technologies including geophysical technique, geological analysis technique, comprehensive research, and evaluation techniques are in detail introduced and applied in different complex subtle reservoirs, such as lithological reservoirs, stratigraphic reservoirs, and carbonate lithological reservoirs. Practice achievements of subtle reservoirs exploration show that the combination and optimization of the above-mentioned techniques can complement and verify each other in order to maximize the effectiveness of various technologies.
