Abstract
The artificial cornea, or keratoprosthesis (KPro), is a viable option for visual rehabilitation in patients not amenable to allotransplantation. It includes patients with severe bilateral ocular surface disorders like chemical injury, limbal stem cell deficiency, Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), and ocular cicatricial pemphigoid (OCP).
