Abstract

This study focused on the ideological variable of gender in literary translation and made a case study of the English translations of a Chinese novel in order to investigate the ways possibly allowed to the translators to construct their gender identities through translation and to interpret the power and control which constrains the construction from a perspective informed by post-structuralism and CDA.
