Abstract
Data acquisition system is a challenge in the Belle II, new generation B factory, experiment starting data taking in 2018, since much higher trigger rate and huge data size must be handled to collect \(8\times 10^{35}\) cm\(^{-2}\)s\(^{-1}\) of peak luminosity from the SuperKEKB accelerator. A beam test of the VXD prototype was carried out in March 2017 at the DESY electron test beam facility as a step of readout integration to the VXD system. During the beam period, we tested three major tasks from DAQ point of view; Event synchronization between the detectors, Stability of high rate performance with online tracking, and establishment of the slow control scheme. In this letter, details of the DESY beam test are discussed, with prospects toward the phase II beam commissioning run in 2018 the phase III physics run.
