Plastic surgery requires skills in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
Reconstructive surgery has a goal to restore the normal. Cosmetic surgery aims to surpass the normal.
No-one can call themselves a plastic surgeon unless they are competent at both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
