Abstract

Industrial robots play a very important role in modern manufacturing industries, and great attention must be given to the design of robot structure to increase the productivity and quality of high-technology work environment. In this study, for industrial robot, the 3D model is developed by CATIA V5, and for the structural analysis, finite element method is used in ANSYS workbench. The design analysis in this paper consists of the investigation about deformation, shear stress, shear strain, and strain energy. Load is applied at the end effector, and the optimum values of parameters affecting the design of the structure are analysed in order to facilitate different structural design modifications.
