Abstract
We conclude this book by summarising the main contributions and results of Chaps. 1–4 concerning the information theoretical essence, transceiver architecture, resource allocation of the integrated data and energy communication network (DEIN) . However, we are still facing the following critical challenges in the DEIN. The hardware of the transceiver should be further improved in order to increase the wireless energy transfer (WET) efficiency. The heterogeneous nature of diverse WET techniques should be exploited for realising the future Internet of Energy (IoE) . The performance limit of the WET should be explored from the information theoretical perspective. The interference imposed by the WET signal on the WIT signal should be properly cancelled in the multi-user DEIN. The DEIN aided mobile cloud computing is another promising application, which is worth intensive efforts.
