Properties of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) Reinforced Copper Matrix Composites by Ultrasonic Welding
In this research, multi-walled CNTs’ surface was firstly coated with a good binding copper layer successfully by electroless plating method, to solve the multi-walled CNTs clusters wrapped problem effectively. Then copper matrix composites reinforced with the electroless copper plated multi-walled CNTs were prepared successfully by ultrasonic metal welding process. The Effects of copper surface state and CNTs content on the mechanical properties and microstructure characterization of the prepared composites were analyzed. And multi-walled CNTs reinforced mechanism was discussed.
