Abstract
This paper attempts to locate the discourse of Disaster Risk reduction from the lens of the women perspective. Navigating through the kinds of problem that Women in a situation of disaster faces, it attempts to not only bring out the problems but suggests outcomes that could be undertaken to resolve the gender blindness that policies both at national and international level face with. Divided in two broad sections, the first section locates Gaps in the form of legal and Institutional, the second section as way forward which brings out multiple solutions that could not only rectify but also fill in the gaps.
