Abstract
Today, online resources are effectively used for identifying target language translations. This study belongs to Hindi to English translations resources, which will be very helpful for Machine Translation (MT) systems or Cross-Lingual Information Retrieval (CLIR). A number of online translation resources are studied and their efficiency and effectiveness are discussed in this paper. Wikipedia, Indo WordNet, and ConceptNet usability for translation are discussed. Different online dictionaries are evaluated and their translation effectiveness are discussed. The Google and Bing online translation systems are also analyzed.
